I agree. You have to get the quick points in order to setup the win. It's much harder to score 7 and takes too much time. Now they have NO chance to win this game. They can still backdoor cover but they've lost all chances of winning. Quickly kick a FG even on 3rd down so that you setup the onside kick and hope to get lucky. It sounds counter intuitive but the statistics show otherwise.
