maybe if you are new to coinbase and you use the bank account. If you use CC then its instant. Then, your bank account also becomes instant. Gemini, you pre register and in 3-4 days you are confirmed and you can do 500 a day (15000 a month) instantly from the bank account. You can also do a wire up to 10,000 in less than a day.

Bitcoin was not invented to be a money transfer tool. People just saw it could be used that way. It sucks that it is not immediate - I mean 10 second confirmations. No reason it could not be. But, bitcoin just does not care about the convenience of sports book transfers or they could fix it. There is a reason for all this time lag bs and it is the mining and investment aspect.

If you are holding bitcoin anyway and your sports books hold the funds in bitcoin then it is not a big deal - the exchange aspect is where the non investors are caught up in a investment they want no part of - just want to move money. How much money do the miners make off of sports book transfers? That is not what is fueling the bitcoin run - they do not even care if there would be no sports book transfers as of tomorrow.
