Who are the 'most people' who hate forks you are talking about? Most people that hold long term seem pretty happy about the recent forks around here!

And what possible reason could someone have for preferring not to buy a coin simply because it was born out of a fork rather than started from scratch? Once it's created there is no difference from coins started in other ways really.


BTW, "fork" is not a scary or bad word for blockchain technology. It happens constantly. Every single day the Bitcoin blockchain forks over and again. it's part of the design to keep it honest and independent. Each fork is a type of vote and the strongest leg survives. It's kind of constantly testing the user consensus of what is best. This is one of the keys that prevent Wall street or govts making rules for it. They can, but the user community can just "fork" away if enough users dont like what happens.

The info I got was the $3,000 Bitcoin core was worth during the fork of Bitcoin Cash.

During the Bitcoin fork:
Bitcoin core at $3,000
Bitcoin Cash at $300
