The line in this game means nothing. The winner covers. Pick the winner and you have the cover also.

I love the setup for this game - everyone saying Alabama doesn't belong, Clemson is going to roll. Look what happened last time Bryant played a good defense, Auburn, let's see how good he looks with no running game. Alabama was too conservative offensively last year, and the defense wore down, they won't make the same mistake this year.

The toughest part about this game is going to be trying to stay awake to watch it after what will be a score fest at the Rose Bowl. I think the winner of the Rose Bowl goes on to win it all no matter who they play for the Championship.

Look at the lines in some of the games. Louisville -6 1/2. Penn State -2 1/2. Wisconsin -6 1/2. Auburn -9 1/2. Georgia -1 1/2. Alabama -2 1/2. These lines are almost universal in Vegas. Does anyone see a pattern here? What, if anything, does this tell you?

You can get +125 to 130 in Vegas if you go that route. Making the #4 seed a favorite over the #1 seed did not help 'Bama at all. Just makes Clemson hungrier.
