For Georgia. Massive amounts of Georgia fans going. No available flights out of Atlanta that weekend. Going to be 70-75% Georgia fans at the game. Will be on the west coast but UGA will have the crowd advantage
The Rose Bowl is going to be a home game

#2If 50,000 Georgia fans showed up in South Bend for the Notre Dame game in week 2, how many will show up in Pasadena for the Rose Bowl? 100,000 is certainly a possibility even though half of these fans will not be able to get tickets.Comment -

#6OU does NOT have a "Huge" following. Notre Dame has a "Huge" following. USC has a "Huge" following. Ohio State has a "Huge" following. OU will get their fans out here, but there will not be nearly as many OU fans out here as UGA fans. Almost 2-1.Comment -

#8Agree. Neither team has an advantage by playing in the Rose Bowl. It will be brilliant daylight when the game starts and dark by time it ends.Comment -

#9Oklahoma has the best quarterback and offensive line in college football. There's not a defense in the NCAA that can completely shut them down, but I think Georgia will play ball control and keep Mayfield on the sidelines as much as possible.
And although the Bulldog defense will have their hands full, they should be able to give OU's punter some snaps. If they also have a larger GA contingent on hand to make some noise, even better.Comment -

#16I’m shocked ou is the underdog. No defense has stopped oklahoma this year. It doens’t matter who has more fans in the stadium. Oklahoma plays better on the road.Comment -

#17Oklahoma actually catches a break. Playing UGA in the title game in Atlanta would be insane. Alabama/Georgia Championship would be the most expensive ticket in the history of college Football.Comment -

#18I’m reading so much crap online about how everything favors Georgia....it’s really making me feel good about my Sooners.
Has anyone here ever been to a BCS or New Years Six bowl before?
When I’ve gone, a lot of the tickets were allotted/sold to local businesses. Maybe things have changed recently..
Anyway, Georgia has bought a lot of tickets but OU fans travel well. It will probably be like 50% Georgia, 30% OU, and 20% neutral. I don’t think it will be some huge advantage for Georgia.
BTW, Baker Mayfield has never lost a road game in his three years as OU’s QB. This include wins in front of 100,000 hostile fans at Ohio State and Tenneseee. I don’t think playing in a stadiums that is 50-60% Georgia fans is going to effect him. He actually loves it.
Georgia has played one passing offense this year in the top 60 and it was Mizzou. They might be good but they haven’t seen an offense like OU this year.
OU has bad defensive stats but they played 4 top 20 offenses.
Give OU Georgias schedule and their defensive numbers look much better. Give Georgia OU’s schedule and their defensive numbers are a lot worse.
Georgia lucked out by not having to play LSU and
Bama this year and they eeked out a one pint victory at a Notre Dame team that turned out to be good but not as great as everyone thought they were.
So really, who is the fraud team here?Comment -

#23Oklahoma plays better on the road. Read that Mayfield never lost a true road game at ou and also they beat Ohio state by 15 at their place. Georgia plays in the weakest division in the power 5. There was a reason why vegas made oklahoma the favorite but money kept pouring in Georgia. Remember, the public is more wrong than right. Oklahoma put up huge numbers against tcu twice and Ohio state. The only comparable team defensively that Georgia faced is auburn. In one game, they looked horrible and the other game, they scored 28 points, which is solid but not explosive.Comment -

#24Georgia’s defense hasn’t been test by a good offense all year.
Just look at today. The offenses UGA played cant score.
Georgia’s two best wins are Auburn and Notre Dame. Notre Dame has 3 points and Aubrun is struggling to a mid-major that got lit up by teams like Memphis and USF.
If OU played these teams their defense would have better stats.Comment -

#25OU put up 38 in a half on TCU. ND held to Georgia to 19 right? You think an overrated ND team could hold OU to 19? Not to mention...alot of OU's defensive struggles were in the secondary and they made some changes mid-season. They haven't been that bad against the run at all.
OU beat up Auburn pretty good last year. They've seen SEC speed before, but SEC doesn't have good QB play this year? The kid on Auburn might be a NFL backup and thats about it.Comment -

#28Oklahoma’s offense is a different animal. No defense can claimed to have stopped oklahoma this year. Tcu and Ohio state are good defenses and they were no match. Oklahoma called off the dogs on tcu because it should have been 50 in both games.Comment -
