She stated they did not like Florida when he was the OC because of constant harassment from the Florida fan base. She would be grocery shopping and then approached by strangers who would berate her about her husband’s mistakes.

Stricklin always had Mullen as a top candidate. He did his due diligence on Kelly and backed off because of the show cause. Gators aren't taking any coach with NCAA problems. I'm hearing UF is paying Mullen $7.5 million a year. That's pretty insane but they needed a guy with experience.

Mullen had been at State long enough I guess, 9 years, just weird seeing coaches coach one year at a school and then the next year in the same conference, this never happened when I was growing up. Even if a coach got fired and sat out a few years theyed come back and coach at a school not in the conference.
