last year the star being out was an auto bet for the team to cover.. won so much money last season in some spots betting that trend.

You can get a better line when the star player goes down, so it's a reasonable wager. Plus these are nba players. Chalmers was a starter for his entire career and has 2 rings. He's not a bum. I think where star player theory doesn't work is when a guy is out for extended period. Then weaknesses in your team will start to show. But 1 game. Yeah. Anything can happen. Personally I would not bet on the Grizz just because Conley is out. Would only bet them if you see them winning this game either way, with or without him.
