Now they do a handicapped match at the Poker Table? 2 on 1. Throw in the steel chair next.

Hey Men, how many cousins dumped their chips to you in this tourney?

Fun men the master story. Few years back I’m playing a small time daily at the Bike and 10 minutes before late reg closes Men and about 12 of his “cousins” roll in and sign up. A few get seated but the TD has to start a new table to handle the rest so it’s Men and 9 of his horses at a single table. Within 15 minutes he had all the chips and was moved to my table with a huge stack

Really have to wonder how that is profitable strategy. Surely having one person with a huge stack cannot be better overall than having ten people with an average stack. Too many things can randomly go wrong for one person with one huge stack to be worth ~10 buyins.
That said, it's long been alleged that the way Men was able to win Player of the Year twice was due to this type of activity so if there is a larger goal in mind than just doing well in one tourney, could change the dynamics. And the reason why he is banned from Foxwoods is that they found a suitcase full of tournament chips in his room - that his "cousins" were scooping them off the table in the low buy-in events to give to Men + potentially others to add to their stacks in higher buy-in events (I suppose in the same casino they use the same tournament chips no matter which tournament it is). Imagine being able to do that on Pokerstars. You buy in to a bunch of $5 tourneys as well as a bunch of say $1000 tourneys, then move your stacks/chips from the $5 tourneys into the $1000 tourneys - a pretty sick way of drastically upping your EV, much more logical than having people dump to you imo. Though in terms of cheating, not sure can get much worse than that.

I was playing on one of those tourney poker sites. Got down to the Final 4 of a 412 person tournament. The chip leader goes all in with a JA. The person in 2nd follows all in with 2Q. 2Q loses, and the chip leader now has an overwhelming stack over the other 2 of us. I find this strange, and post in chat "?????". The chip leader comes back, and actually admits that the #2 guy was his father.
Needless to say, this guy won the tourney, and after 150 minutes, I came in 2nd because I couldn't overcome his stack. It's one thing I lost out on a cash prize, but how I lost it really stings. Already emailed a complaint to the site, but I don't foresee anything happening. Just needed to vent.

Yeah, I thought the same thing. The website is saying they will investigate it, thank you for your feedback...BLAH...BLAH...BLAH. When I thought back to it, I remember that there was similar move made by that same guy when there were 6 players left. They just weren't the chip leaders at the time, and the "father" won that round, even though he had a bad hand. Oh well. Just sucks that I players 2 1/2 hours to get that far, and got a WWE Montreal screwjob at the end.
