#9I think unde summed it up nicely. Very, very difficult to win money betting losers.
I should know.
Don't bet in the early hours of the morning drunk on sports that nobody watches and barely anyone plays is my best advice. Good times though.Comment -

#11Do not try to be that guy in the photo counting money with 2 hot girls with fake bo*bs standing on both sides of him on their way to the nearest drive thru wedding place. (that guy doesnt exist)
I have been trying to be that guy for 28 years. (thats 4 TDs & 4 extra pts worth) Altthough I have come across some nice bo*bs. Some were even real. Besides even on long positive runs those chicks are never impressed. I walk around casinos with a T shirt that reads "big time sports bettor - come hang with me." Nobody cares? Its insulting! Go figure? I mean a couple do here & there. The couple that weigh over a couple hundred pounds.
Listen when the good runs come keep pounding them the same way you would when you score a chick way out of your league. Dont wonder when will this end! Just go with it. You never stop chasing when you are losing so why stop when you are winning? And so what if you have to settle for a woman with normal size bo*bs? You cant have everything. Unless you are Tom Brady. What star was thst dude born under? And another thing: Do not try to figure out which bottled water taste the best at a casino. They all taste the same. They are only trying to distract you. Its the same thing as the guy in the picture. A distraction. You drink enough "water" in there the waitresses become the girls in the pictures. See? By the time you get out of there you feel like Chuck Wepner after the Ali fight before the big money era. Speaking of big money my break here at Taco Paradise is almost over. I have to take my meds now before its too late. And dont ever forget who is preparing your fast food! It might just be a degenerate gambler Leaving Las Vegas soon. What was the question again? Oh yeah, dont ever start betting on sports. Dont ever let your kids bet on sports. Unless of course you want to waste your life & theirs.

#15the most important thing is not to chase your loses, the next thing is bet the same amount per bet, I guess those two go hand in hand
although even then you might not be profitable, but you wont need to reload every other day either. the good thing is, you only need to win around 53% to be profitable in the long termComment -

#16I actually disagree with the mushroom ^^^
I think you should rate your plays on your level of confidence and wager accordingly—up to 10 units on high confidence plays.
I pick my spots and it works for me.
I am also a lower volume bettor. For instance—I only had 3 plays last week.Comment -

#20Bet only when you feel you have an edge and no more than 2% of your bankroll.
If you want advice on how to win, this isn't the place. Try going to your local college and speak with a statistics professor. He'll tell you all you need to know.Comment -

#29I didn't say that. What he will say is that you better be able to last long losing streaks and doing that by not over playing your bankroll. He'll also tell you that he would not recommend doing it for a living and stick to recreational betting. One last pointer would be to never read the posts of Rudy at SBR.Originally posted by RudyRuetiggerRight bro

#32Great money managment is KEY KEY KEY.... You say your getting 100 point? Start off bettting $5 a game and limit your bets to 1-2 a night only on games you really like or think you have some kinda angle on. Unless your doing some kind of "system" where a lot of picks a night don't hurt you but for most people more games = trouble... Plain and simple your need to put the work in to being a profitable player...If you think your going to spend 5-10 minutes deciding your plays you may as well do something else.... because no matter how much stats you have or research you did or gut feelings you may have you still need to win more then you lose at the end of the day.Comment -

#34Good post but let me add that creating your own line helps also, even if you're not experienced at it. By doing this at least you know where you stand on games and whether or not you think they are playable. Also, do not look at the lines before creating your own as this will cause you to change your thinking. By doing this you will know whether you like a game a little or a lot. Especially with totals.Originally posted by PeterJohnsonGreat money managment is KEY KEY KEY.... You say your getting 100 point?
