It actually isn't the Bill Walsh tree that is epic, it's the Sid Gilman coaching tree that is epic!

Joe Gibbs, John Madden, Al Davis, Al Saunders, Chuck Knoll, Tony Dungy, John Fox amongst a host of other losers

Now, Bill Walsh doesn't fall in the Sid Gilman tree but Gilman was Walshs biggest influence when it came to implementing the west coast offense

At least thats what wikipedia says, I haven't heard of Sid Gilman before just now

Bill Walsh, by his own admission, copied the Jerry Burns/ Bud Grant Vikings offense of the late 60s and 70s. He dutifully gives Jerry Burns credit (Haleonearth talk segment).

If you look at the Tarkenton passing game it's the forefront to Montana.

I'll take your word for it, I don't know much about the NFL before Herschel Walker and Danny White.

I was really just one upping KVB because I wanted an excuse to find out who Bill Walsh coached under. And it wasn't Gilman but rather some other guy named Paul Brown. But Paul Brown just doesn't have that same porno ring that Sid Gilman does, so I went with Sid "Girth" Gilman
