he should have went to wade davis for 2 innings. get to the 11th then if you have to use lackey then you got to.........but davis could have thrown 40 pitches. and he should have

really a retarded move. what if lackey does get out of the jam. then you use him and bring in davis. what if its tied in the 13th then you have to use a utility player to pitch as davis would be done

guy wanted to look super smart putting in lackey lol

I hate Maddon with a passion, but he said pregame that Davis was only good for 1 inning. If that's the case, the move made sense.

Lackey never, ever pitched two nights back to back, he's a STARTER.

Placing a demoted starter to relieve critical NLDS games in a row
is downright IDIOTIC.

Then Lackey even looked terrible and was throwing bad - and totally horrid
body language.. but Maddon kept him in. Don't blame Lackey, Cubs backers.
Lackey is a 4-5th rotation starter at the end of his career.

The anger with Maddon is misdirected. Other than Davis the Cubs bullpen SUCKS. Should be blaming Theo. If he has a brain in his head he should hire Jim Hickey immediately, with who the Rays inexplicably parted ways. Guy turned tin into gold the 11 years he was in Tampa.
