What was so wrong with Klinsmann ? He was the corner stone for all the present success that Germany now have. He acknowledged that a youth program was necessary in order to bring young players through a system that was established and comprehensible ( yes, he copied Spain's success at the time ). When he came to the US, to pick up the pieces of a program in disarray, he built a winning belief within the team. Arenas had a resume that included ZERO experience at the international level and it showed. The team was outplayed, out managed and eventually embarrassed by a small island team called Trinidad and Tobago. If you want to be a top level team, you need a manager with the experience to take you there. Klinsmann produced the best US team ever represented in a World Cup, and the American press and public ( yes , the same likes as the posters in this forum ) who stoned him publicly. And yes, i still believe that the US can be a top 10 team again.

Better to care for a team that plays for your country than care about players/teams that won't even stand for the anthem.
