Disasters are big and well know now because the human population is growing and taking up all the land space in all areas that were once not occupied..

Big hurricanes happened in the past, Big earthquakes and fires as well.. The only difference now is just more people are being effected because we are condensed and spread out more then before...

Well, I remember El Nino was a crazy year of rain and storm fronts years ago here in California, I remember the Northridge and SF earthquakes really rocked California also back in the day, I remember when Mt. Saint Helen blew it's top and threw ash every where in Cali.. I remember wild fires that raged and just burnt up unoccupied land years and years ago also..

That's the way I see it anyways so no need to be alarmed or panic just yet.. We are expanding and growing the human population at alarming rates so we are gonna get hit harder in spots..

However I'm not blind to the fact that since we are populating at alarming rates and polluting and taxing this planet like never before things will eventually start to happen out of the norm.... I just don't think it all will happen with in one years time for everything to go to hell with this planet. It's still gonna be a slow process..
