Not that semantics play here, but all media outlets that use the airwaves are subject to review on the media and news they report.

For many years there was control over airtime balance of left vs right dialog and those rules were suspended by Reagan, which allowed the explosion in right leaning radio and TV (think Limbaugh and Fox news) while the other networks have found a lack of audience for left leaning "red meat" and as such have tended to manufacture news in recent years (think Rather, NBC guy suspended few years back, CNN and MSNBC) as an attempt to stay relevant.

Trump pointing to credibility of accuracy in news as the basis for their license, for if it's a propaganda site or commentary station it may fall under different FCC guidelines.
