If you bet 100 dollars every game on the Giants, Mets, and Tigers this season.....
If you bet 100 dollars every game on the Giants, Mets, and Tigers this season (money line)
You would have lost a little over 8400 dollars.

Tigers and Giants were the two biggest money burners this season, if you bet 100 a game for the whole season you would have lost exactly 2928 on each.

Mets were the third biggest money burners this season, you would have lost 2645 if you bet them every game for 100.

Who were the most profitable teams in MLB this season in terms of wagering? (every game, money line, 100 dolllars)

    Brewers: +1637
    Diamondbacks +1343
    Rockies +1290
    Astros +1197

Which teams were the most profitable this season if you bet 100 dollars on them each HOME game?

Athletics +1303 (they were money at home all season) Oakland was 46-35 at home this season, and they were dogs often too.

Diamondbacks made you +1218 this year if you bet them at home every game.
San Diego Padres made you +1143 if you bet them at home every game.

So, what's the point you say?
When you think of the "power teams" in baseball the SD Padres and Oakland A's are on nobodies list, they're dogs, but betting those dogs at home made you serious bank. And betting the Brews all year paid off handsomely.
Chalk don't pay in the long run, and not all dogs have fleas.

Best road teams wagering wise this past season?

    Astros +1437
Nationals +1387 (50-31 straight up road record)
    Brewers +1348
    Twins +1328

Baltimore Orioles were far and away the worst team to bet on on the road -1798

Only two teams had winning records straight up as an underdog.
    Yankees and Indians.
Yanks were underdogs 38 times this season and were 21 and 17 straight up as underdogs.

No, the Dodgers won 104 games in the regular season, lost 58.
101 times they won as favorites, Dodger won 3 games as underdogs straight up.
The 104 wins netted you a little over 10,500 dollars, the 58 losses cost you almost 10800.
Dodgers were -243 for the regular season.

If you include the two playoff wins, they are now 106-58 for a negative 43 dollars.

                          a) the point of the thread is dogs pay in MLB
                          b) just because I'm an I/T geek doesn't mean I can't dance.
                          c) I was a scholastic wrestler (besides baseball) I can take down you Newark white boys down in a heartbeat, before your roundhouse misses you're on your back because I took you legs out quicker than your punch lands.

Now my advice coach is to stay on my good side.
We in agreement here, just appreciate my geek side, or suffer the wrath of my bad side.

I think parity is more prevalent now than ever before and it’s even starting to creep into tennis and soccer.

Talent is so dispersed now and professional and college sports and you need to use that in your handicapping
