In light of the massacre casino stocks have slipped between 7% and 2.5% across the board with MGM taking the biggest hit.
Might be a chance to buy in here and bet on the house.

That is a good question. An investigation would be a good idea.

He was staying there for 3 days, not like he even had to come in all at once with it.
Golf bag, guitar case. would be simple.

Short term trading maybe. Long term maybe not. If they are hit with a lawsuit that suckers going down then after they pay out that big check after the lawyers have convinced the casino excuitves they have saved them tremoundous amounts of money good news will come out and the stock will go up. So 2% downturn is small now expect more in the future. So i probably told you what is going to happen within one to two years. These things in court take some time.

They'll sue and settle out of court. I assume they turn that space where the concert was into a memorial. MGM must have been making a good chunk renting it out but I can't see it returning to business as usual.

Lawsuit worked well for the people who sued the Colorado movie theatre for their massacre. They owe about $700K in legal fees. The casino security and surveillance is there to protect the casino's money...not the guests. Good luck proving negligence. He had a 2 room suit for 4 days. People coming and going with extra bags is not uncommon. No duty to pass hotel guests' bags through a metal detector or screen them. This massacre was not preventable. Security guard knocked on the door and took a bullet in his leg for his trouble.

Easy to get all the guns up there. Who really pays attention to the people around them in Vegas? Carry two three bags up at a time. Wait a bit, change clothes if you feel like it. Not hard, and three days to spread it out. The only way I could see it stopped if a maid was wondering why so many damn bags, but they don't look around and it's a suite with a bunch in the closet anyway. Wasn't shit anyone could do unless someone random had a hunch, and said this guy seems off.

Building was secure. Nobody who was unaccounted for or not supposed to be there was inside. Not sure how anyone with a functioning brain could pin blame on the hotel.

MGM has lawsuit insurance. Wouldn't have a material affect on the quarter.

I'm sure MGM has the proper insurance in situations like this.
So even if several individual lawsuits are filed... or one BIG CLASS ACTION lawsuit is filed... regardless of the result...
