Tony should be a coach. He knows from the formation exactly what play is going to be ran. He does talk too fast because he wants to get out everything he's thinking, but from pure knowledge he's probably the smartest commentator I've ever heard.

I think romo is able to so accurately predict what's most likely to happen next cuz he is the most recent qb to go from playing to reporting so the game is still played very much like it was a the last season he played so really he sees a situation an calls what he would have most likely done or been told to do based on w/e scheme that teams off. I know he's new to calling games but he comes off as though he has no idea where to start or stop talking. Always wants to be throwing out his predictions and regular guy horseshit. He'll start getting these calls he's predicting wrong at some point and the bloom will be totally off the rose.

Overrated. most analysts don't diagnose pre-play because they let the play by play do his job. In GB Nance is saying 2nd and 8 while Romo interrupts him and starts writing on the screen as players are going in motion. Never saw a guy draw on screen before the play in my life. And if you don't like Collinsworth, hard to say you know football. He diagnoses the game and plays from the inside out. Showing important details and players in the trenches other than just the obvious.

no i eat it up cause it sucks how his career ended and now since he cant be out on the field hes now passionate about calling the games and adding a different perspective and excitement to the games.. but you were close enough i guess.
