Donk - it doesn't matter how many guns you have. There is no defense for a mentally ill person with a weapon and the element of surprise. Anyone could walk up on a party, wave and smile at everyone, then unload a clip, killing several people in an instance. I don't know why we think we can defend ourselves in these situations. You cannot. You are a sitting duck. Police officers are trained and armed every day but we see them getting killed in the line of duty. What makes you think you are better equipped than them?

Nope. Not even half.

Unfortunately, we have a generation of people with mental illnesses. 1 out of 5 people will suffer a mental event this year. Give those people a gun and it's just a ticking time bomb. Suicides are at an all time high, especially with our military. 22 service men a day, 1 every 65 minutes are dying in our great country. Guns are the easy way out. Sad that we have more guns than people. I believe in the right to defend yourself with a gun but what do we do with 20% of the publication that are mentally ill?
