#180If Sportsbook cash has a 5x rollover your value is reduced about 30%. At present, it looks like bitcoin payments are about 60% of sportsbook cash so sportsbook cash is a slightly better value. But then you do not have to go through everything you do with sportsbook cash so I would prefer the bitcoin payout at the present redemption rate.Comment -

But if they don't, and coinbase sees a shitload of transfers to/from 1 address, and you can't eaxplain, then they assume it is shady and ban you.Originally posted by terpkegHow would coinbase know that the address you send coins to is controlled by someone in the industry? Should have known it wasn't that easy. I'm off to find an underground dude to change my identity.
Coinbase ban the use of funds bought or sold there to go/come from a gambling site.
They have banned quite a few accounts in the past.
Basically, use blockchain.info/wallet at the place to receive bitcoin from books or SBR or anything gambling related... and only send it on to Coinbase from there if you are wanting to change it for US$ to cashout.
Truth is that the system has changed to the point that Coinbase 'probably' can't link wallet addresses to books any more... and they havent banned anyone in quite a while. But still the advice is to not flout their rules when we dont need to.

Buy from SBR and send to a private wallet (blockchain.info/wallet or maybe an Electrum desktop wallet)... after that you can either send it to a book as a depsoit, or send it to somewhere like Coinbase to sell it and cash out for US$..Comment -

#203Blockchain wallet is a independent wallet that you have complete control over.Originally posted by khicks26

Coinbase is an exchanger with a wallet attached that you have no control over.
If you choose to send from SBR or a book or some other place where you have no control over their wallet... and ask them to send your bitcoin to another wallet you have no control over, then if something goes wrong you cant even see what is happening let alone do anything.
Don't be lazy like Mike... use your own wallet that you control as your central/main wallet. Just get in the habit.
That said, what Mike said is probably true right now as well and you can just send direct from SBR or Book to Coinbase and nothing will happen... but we cant know that for sure..Comment -

#206You spend alot in transfer fees over time when using a buffer especially if you are a loser and always needing to fund your accounts..
I do wonder how they can tell if a random bitcoin exchange address is traceable to a sports book?
I got lazy and impatient one time because Block Chain was experiencing delays.. Did this one straight Coinbase transfer one time a month ago to fund a new sportsbook account straight from coin base with no buffer.. I experienced no problems what so ever..Comment -

I was a bit surprised that you were saying ignore SBR rules and just setup a VPN to work around them.
And was asking you if I was mistaken thinking that is what you meant.
I'm not sure why you want to get in my face right now... you have already received a pass for something I would ban others for on the spot normally. And then go on to tell people you will transfer the benefit to them to get around the rules. As Phillyguy said you are usually a good contributor and that is why you are still a member here after your posts, but dont make the mistake of suggesting people scam SBR again. You wont get a 2nd chance..Comment -

#208I think they were originally doing it by looking for the wallets books used to consolidate deposits and once one big wallet is identified, work backwards from there to all previous transactions that ended up back at Coinbase.Originally posted by JIBBBYYou spend alot in transfer fees over time when using a buffer especially if you are a loser and always needing to fund your accounts..

When wallets changed so that they held lots of addresses and issued a new ones for each transaction, I suspect Coinbase lost their ability to do the tracking as they had been.
BTW, I dont think Coinbase want to police bitcoin usage. I think their main desire is to look like they are doing all that is required to meet their license conditions. Whilst they could track, they had to. Now if they cant, they just have to be able to show its no longer possible.
I also think the feds are a lot less worried about gambling and taxing winnings than most people think. They have a hard on for bitcoin as it gives every normal person easy access to a "swiss style bank account" to hide bulk funds in..Comment -
