Two other reasons. One is parity. Any team can beat another on any given Sunday. College not so much. There isn't really much separating NFL teams, just subtle advantages. Second reason is turnover from year to year. Teams are switching players so much that you have to throw out all of the team stats and trends you see. Trends are a joke anymore, don't ever use them in the NFL. Most overrated stat I see. I don't even look at them anymore because they are meaningless.
