False on two fronts. One, you can get value (not always) playing against hot teams. Two, before most realize a team is hot, they are no longer hot anymore, you have to catch a team BEFORE the hot streak. People who bet hot teams lose long term simply because they have no value and most likely the streak ends very soon after.
