Sandra Bullock shells out $1M for every one of these disasters and you know she doesn't make the jack that most of these celebs make.

Watt, a defensive end for the Houston Texans, and his teammates handed out supplies on a day normally reserved for football.

During a relief effort run through Watt’s non-profit foundation, everything from water, baby supplies and pet food was donated earlier in the week in Pewaukee, Wis., Watt’s hometown of less than 14,000 people. The supplies filled 10 semi-trucks, which arrived Saturday.

"We're going to be helping to distribute 10 semi-trucks worth of goods. Water, food, clothing, cleaning supplies," Watt said Sunday before heading into local neighborhoods. "We're going to make sure we get out in those areas that were hit the hardest. Get directly into the city. Get directly to the people who need the help and hand out these."

Watt and teammates fanned out to four locations in this city, devastated by the category 4 hurricane that has left at least 44 people dead, ruined up to 1 million cars and resulted in an estimated $160 billion in damage.

Joined by his girlfriend, Watt led a group of volunteers headed for Carroll Academy, an independent school in a blue-collar neighborhood that is still experiencing flooding.

Watt said Sunday's work was "phase one" and that the foundation is taking care to ensure the money is used effectively.

"That's phase one," Watt said. "Phase two is what's going to happen with all of the money. Not a single dollar has been spent yet. All 10 semi-trucks were donated ... so we haven't even spent a single cent yet and that's a testament to the community.

"This is our plan now, just so you can understand, because I know people are trusting me with their money to make the right decisions."

Most of these celebs step up and donate. They can't help it that Fox News has turned them into villains with their jackass audience who are nothing but puppets and true cancers to society, let alone greedy scumbags. Any news on any rightwing celebs donating? How about those scumbag Koch brothers who have beat the gov't out of billions? Cheney and Bush? Two families that have tortured the tax payers from Gov't deals. Hannity give anything? Oreilly? It kIlls these mother fukers to give up even a dollar. Ya got to give them credit tho. They have managed to fool people into thinking they are great guys and good for the country.

Cruz is more worried about getting a handout when in fact when it was Jersey he had a big problem with it and if anyone says it was because of 2/3 of the bill being pork Christie said Cruz was absolutely full of shit. Got to give Trump a prop here. He knows a lair since he might be one of the biggest one. Lying Ted and despicable Donald. Two peas in a pod.

Look up how much money the Bush family has donated to Team Rubicon, the Red Cross and the Salvation Army.
Then tell me how much the Obama's have donated.

Nash the Bush family has made almost every dollar of their lives through politics, shady deals etc.., but to be honest nobody trumps Cheney. Comparing them with Obama is foolish. Obama would burn his money if he could have a tenth of Bush type money.

The Houston Texans and New England Patriots will be enemies on Sunday but on Wednesday, the two came together. Texans defensive end J.J. Watt, who has been a one-man wrecking crew in piling up relief efforts for Hurricane Harvey and the disaster that swept through the area earlier in the month, received a $50,000 donation from Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and $100,000 more from quarterback Tom Brady.

“Incredibly kind gestures,” Watt said in his Periscope video. “It just goes to show what kind of people they are. Despite everything — playing a game against each other and having a practice against each other…for them to step up in a time like that and just help their fellow human is pretty special, and I think it speaks volumes to their character. So I’m very appreciative of that, obviously, and I think that the way both of them went about it, as well, just kind of quietly behind scenes. I don’t think that they even meant for it to get out. So, just good people. Much appreciated, for sure.”

Watt has already accounted for more than $37 million, which is incredible given he originally set a $200,000 benchmark. He’s gradually increased the number and has received more than 200,000 separate donations from celebrities, fellow athletes, the common folk and everyone in between.

“If there is one thing that I have taken away from these last few weeks, it is the reassurance of how much good is out there in our world,” he said in a statement last week. “When times are the toughest, humanity stands at its strongest and you have all helped to prove that emphatically.”
