I'm done for today.... shit was more chaotic, with more goofballs on the water than ever.... a lot of chaos created due to waters starting to drop in some areas where people were still trying to rescue people, and boats hitting things due to the larger number of boaters and inexperience of most that suddenly wanted to be heroes....
I applaud their spirit, but after having to rescue as many stranded boaters/jet skiers/kayakers as flood victims today, I think I'm done with high water rescues for now.....Comment -

I'm sure I'll assess it in the a.m. with the hfd personnel i've been dealing with throughout, and see if there's a need; wife will probably volunteer at a local shelter; if nothing is going on, I'll practice a little law and go buy another truckload or two of ice for delivery to a couple of church/shelters nearby....
Pretty sure most of the rescue work will be done by tonight, from what I'm hearing.... unless of course those f'n levees at barker and addicks bust; then the shit will hit the fan along buffalo bayou, and we'll be back in search and rescue again.....Comment -
