Now we just had a chemical release a few minutes ago down south. People in Laporte told to shelter in place. This shit is crazy by the minute.
The radar looked like things were easing up some but it has been raining hard as shit the last 2 hours. I just got another 6 inches in the last couple of hours and it's coming down even more. To tell you how bad it's been for those that have had satellite dishes, my Dishnet has been down damn near 24/7 since Thursday. I'm talking only a few hours of viewing the past few days. That's how hard it's raining and it's constant.Comment -

Yeah, I'm in a high area above Buffalo Bayou so water pools in my area but it all drains lower but takes time. When there's rapid flooding, I can barely drain it off the yard because it comes down so fast. I have 2 pumps that have been running 24/7 pumping water away from the house. Neighborhoods less than a mile from me have a lot of flooding though. It is shocking to see multi-million dollar homes under water. People in Stablewood (George Bush house), Tanglewood taking water. Nobody is being spared.Comment -

been rescuing people for two days; helpin' out in anyway I can....
the DonkLand compound is an inpenetrable fortress; all is well there....
wife spent the day gathering items and volunteering for those in greater need; I spent it helping those in need via boat rescue....

Good shit Donk. I sold my boat years ago and wouldn't know how to launch it on surface streets anyway. I'd like to help (I have a large inflatable raft LOL) but I'm surrounded by water in each direction. Best thing I can do is sit tight and pitch in once things settle down.

Houston isn't like most cities. We are a huge melting pot and people actually help each other. But if you try to break into a home, you most likely will catch a bullet from a neighbor. There were like 3 people caught looting in the entire city thus far and we usually handle it the old fashion way. The city is even cracking down on price gouging too. They'll put your ass in jail if you try to take advantage of people, especially old people.
Plus, It's real hard to steal a TV in 5 feet of water.Comment
