Last year's Grey Cup saw the biggest upset in CFL history, I believe a 13 point dog. The favorite rallied from being 20 points down and sent the game to OT with a field goal in the last 10 seconds.
The underdog won with a juggling TD catch in OT.
In that respect, it's at least the same as the NFL.
Do you know how many games this season have come within the spread or win as time expires? That keeps it on par with the NFL, as it often happens there too, but on a regular basis, there is more action in the final 3 minutes of a CFL game than the final 3 minutes of an NFL game...by far.
The 3 down system often leads to a lot more action and possession changes at the end of games. It's actually a little ridiculous.
But not as ridiculous as comparing it to NFL preseason then saying you haven't watched the games.

NFL way better in preseason? Are you kidding! NFL preseason games are almost unwatchable. Starters barely play if at all. Vanilla offense and defense is all you see. It's basically boring football. The CFL on the other hand is approaching mid-season so the games actually mean something. And aside from the Peg blowout tonight, this has been the most competitive start to the CFL in years. The CFL Grey cup came down to the final plays again. With 49 seconds left 7 point underdog Toronto kicked a FG to take a 27-24 lead over Calgary. The Total was 53 down to 51.5 in some places.
Calgary got into FG range, for at least OT, before throwing a pick and ending the game with the Under.
Game was, once again, decided in the final minute.
The Official CFL thread had the winners, as it did for the entire playoffs and the season.
The thread did well for all the posters.
