. If a player or pairing retires or is disqualified in any match, the player or pairing progressing to the next round (or winning the tournament in the case of a final) will be deemed the winner. This only applies to the Match Betting market, all other markets are void. When this occurs before the conclusion of the first set, all bets not already determined, including match betting, are void..Comment -

#9Well that is a weird one. Should have been a loser according to their posted rules if the first set was fully complete. Guess the graders get it wrong in our favor sometimes too

#12Well I think I know why it was a push and not a loser. Hopefully this alerts anyone else that may play in the U.K.
More betting shops are turning to machines where you need to place your bet. They won't take them at the counter anymore. These machines are run by a 3rd party. The 3rd party has their own rules that may differ from the actual books rules. The rules are posted no where that I know of.
So books like Paddy Power, Ladbrokes and probably others use these 3rd party machines to place all sports bets and they do not follow their own books grading policies. PaddyPower and Ladbrokes technically aren't taking the bet. The 3rd party is even though Ladbrokes and Paddypower names are on the machine. Just an FYI.Comment
