I was curious, so I started researching the Yankee / Red Sox Sunday night affairs since the debut of Sunday Night Baseball in 1990 (trivia - who played in the very first Sunday Baseball game in 1990? The answer is two teams you wouldn't think of in your first ten guesses)
Anyway every time the Yanks play Boston on Sunday nights it seems like the game is a football score and ends after midnight.
I gave up after going back to 2007 since I don't have my work station in front of me so I don't have access to my SQL software, but off of what I saw the majority of the games did go over the posted total.
Now for some logic behind the over nine wager.
Both pitchers have been severely underachieving, so much that I don't care if Boston hasn't score a run since Friday and Judge has slowed down, I expect both teams to get back to raking like they are capable of doing.
Grab an extra six pack, expect the monster to get peppered with rawhide, this one should go past midnight again.
