Murguruza is favored here because she is the higher ranked player and because she defeated Kerber, who wasn't playing that well and isn't great on grass because of her mediocre serve. Williams is the better player on grass than Murguruza and has a strong head to head record against Murguruza, with the only recent loss on clay where Williams has struggled late in her career. This is probably Williams best shot to win a major since she's played her best on grass and Serena is still out.
