For those who don't know, I'm in the Boston, MA, area.

Been doing a regular poker night with guys I know for a while (tournament style) and kicking a$$. Was thinking there must be organized regular nights in the area as well.

Heard about Eastern Poker Tour. Anyone familiar?

    Thanks, Boys.

I'm sure you can find something, but the average SBR player would look like Phil Ivey playing at most home poker nights with the guys. The tour may be a slight upgrade in competition.

Haha. True, my craft has been finely honed by SBR for sure. But the guys I play with actually play in tournaments -- that's where I heard about Eastern Poker Tour, but I thought maybe some SBR folks were well versed in all the options out there. Sounds like that may be a good option.

Capy, if you're willing to drive a little, try playing at MoheganSun (or Foxwoods).

I've played there. Not the stiffest competition.

i play a lot of home games in the boston area mainly 1/2 nl holdem and 1/2 or 2/5 plo. Foxwoods and mohegan are good but twin river is very soft and under an hr from boston.

Salud, greek. I'll consider that next time I'm in Northeast.

I've been in the TwinRiver Blackjack Pit. Very crowded, and tableMinimums are pretty hi. Twin River BJ pit must clean up nightly.

Capy, install the app "Bravo Poker Live" on your phone. You can see what poker rooms are running: what games they have going, and how many people are waiting for each table.

If you're north of Boston Seabrook Poker Room has lots of well attended small buy-in tournaments. The $40 rebuy is very popular and they have others in the $50 range. Here's their schedule.
