Who Play Online Poker Here For Real Money? Is It Profitable Still??
It seems more like a cult sport now but I have lost touch as far as online poker
Do guys play serious and make money?
Are rooms fairly full??

I would think a time-consuming is the number one issue
It's easy to go get a job and make more money

For the vast majority of people, Poker has a very low overall reward for the amount of time and effort you put into it

I only play live for real cash. Online is full of collusion and bots, no noobs out there anymore. Live poker is tough enough.

I did for a while but its a grind and more stressfull than a 9 to 5 office job. You can make money if you have a lot of patience. You basically have to be like a robot to play online. I played for a year mostly on 5/5 2/4 tables 8 hours a day and made about 40 grand. Not worth it because you are disconnected from real people and too much stress.

Yes and yes. Usually play a few hours a week on Ignition. But cash games only. I like how they recently changed the seating for a cash game. You cant just join any random cash game, tougher to collude. I play for fun, not to make a living.

guys that are sociable and meet up are only doing it for entertainment. Full timers are broke AF with zero social skills

The online environment for poker players is too shitty and the player pool is far tougher than it was 10 years ago. The poker world benefit from the US figuring out how to make poker legal and easy to play

Guess you guys are too hooked on playing poker only at the bitcoin books. Check out Global Poker. You've missed about 5 months of great promotions and easy games. Sites slowly becoming reg infested but with Ignition being shitty with their anonymous table seating Global becoming the #1 option in USA. Paypal too because you're not playing for "cash".

Live poker is still very soft whereas online is filled with rake back grinders. Many live rooms have shut down to be replaced with slot machines. Just recently in Vegas Luxor, Monte Carlo and Hard Rock all shut down their poker rooms.

The poker boom is over. Everyone saw Chris Moneymaker win on ESPN in 2003, got hooked, lost some money a few sessions and promptly quit.
Most realized that it is not as exciting or cool as ESPN made it seem. It really is a game for nerds.
Back in 2005 all you needed was a copy of super systems and a $5,000 bank roll and you can call yourself a pro the money was that easy.
