No double-standard. Our driving laws are some of the most lenient in the world. We obviously don't like to put people in jail for accidents, even though driving is the most dangerous thing we do. There's a shit load of people who were drunk and high as hell that got off when they basically murdered someone. There was a Mexican guy here in Houston that was here illegally several times. Slammed into a couple, drunk as shit, got out immediately. He went back to Mexico and came back to Houston like 8 months later and killed someone else while driving drunk. They let him out again and he's thought to be back in Houston. Look up how many people get arrested multiple times for drunk driving in the same damn week? I remember a guy arrested 5 times in one week. He got out and was back on the streets every time.

Venus can't be charged for a criminal crime because no lawyer can show criminal intent. She'll definitely be sued though. I haven't really read up on this but did the guy eventually die because he was old or did he really succumb to his injuries?
