There is one game of interest on the 26th. Oregon State goes to Colorado State. Now no one in their right mind is picking Oregon State to win their Division, much less their conference, but some think that Colorado State has a shot at winning the MWC Mountain Division. They do play Boise State at home and duck San Diego State. Oregon State is actually picked to finish 5th, ahead of Cal, in the Pac 12 North, which is an accomplishment for them. In order for the Beavers to become bowl eligible, they probably must win all three of their non-con games. Two are at home, against Portland State and Minnesota, and both are winnable. So things may boil down to the game at Colorado State. So while this is certainly not a "Marquee" game, it should be an interesting one. The Vegas line is Colorado State -3 1/2.

That's interesting I would guess Oregon State +3.5 is a solid play, Pac 12 team against Mountain West team that's not Boise State

CSU/OSU is one that I'm hoping drops to -3, but will still play at -4 if it gets there. OSU hasn't given me a reason they can beat a CSU team that's putting it all together. I like what OSU is doing for the long term, but it's a tough road for them.

I think people overrate conferences a lot, especially in week 1 match-ups where even teams in power conferences are very vulnerable.

It is a tough game to call. The game is the opener for Colorado State's new on campus stadium which seats about 41,000. They also get Colorado, 6 days after this game, in Denver. So two straight Games against Pac 12 teams. So far, this is a pass for me but gun to head, I would take Colorado State and give the points.

Ya I was going to say the same thing. It won't stop me from betting on them, but the 25th's and 26th's games - all 5 of 'em - are hardly worth getting excited over.

They are the kind of games that I'll bet on because I have a gambling problem and there are no other games, but I wouldn't touch them if they were on a regular college football Saturday.

ESPN.com shows UMass and Hawaii at a time TBD on the 25th.... but I guess they are wrong since it seems every other site disagrees.... I am not worried about specific dates this far out so I was going by what ESPN.com says.... I guess that was unwise of me....

hawaii plays at umass on sat 8/26. meaningless game so who gives a hoot anyway
