Depends on the EV of the contest.

Guys like JAKEPEAVY play contests worth 4 cents per hour on paper, and then cries and complains when he loses.

I've entered a few contests, I almost never make the minimum bets and forget to put the plays in...it's kind of a last stop on the priority list.

Entered the June MLB contest a week late, may not make the minimum there either.

Did fine in BTP.

Contests are fine and can be a good way to test new ideas.

Its a good way to pick up points. Its a no brainer. If you are pro why wouldn't you? Its another way to make your membership worth it. You are more of a jerkoff if you don't ever take advantage of the extra things SBR does for their faithful posters.
