Keyshawn Johnson Pulls Son From Nebraska
True freshman wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson Jr. is not currently with the Husker program, and isn’t expected to be part of it through at least this fall, according to various sources.

A source close to the matter confirmed that report, which said Johnson Jr. will be taking “somewhat of a leave of absence” from the team with a potential opportunity to return in January if certain requirements are met. Johnson is already back in his native California.

“I want him to mature as a man, and if he wants it, football will always be there,” his father, Keyshawn Johnson Sr., told Greg Biggins of Scout.com.

Keyshawn Sr. late tweeted later Tuesday evening that “Sometimes you need to take a step back, before you can go forward.”

Johnson Jr. was cited for possession of marijuana less than one ounce and possession of drug paraphernalia earlier this month.

I know it's still only college level, but Johnson Sr. figured things would get high profile and just hadn't lined up a fall guy yet for his son that's all...

        Nothing to see here.

The kid apparently does not have that much to offer, failing to make the two-deep roster which includes 3 wideouts, two of which are also freshmen.

Perhaps that is why he was shuffled off to Nebraska, a running team with a former Pac-12 HC running the show. Notice he did not even think about going to USC.

hes obviously not that good if he didn't go to USC or one of the in state schools.....

I mean your dad is Keyshawn F'ing Johnson that should be enough to get you a roster spot on USC

not like USC doesn't have a few of those on their roster.

the kid might be a knucklehead but let's at least try to involve some reality in this process.. he was 4 star prospect with offers from USC and UCLA. Nebraska/Riley have done really well recruiting SoCal.

Riley does well picking up the recruits that schools like USC and UCLA do not want. Don't kid yourself. Riley never won a Pac 10/12 title and never will win a Big 10/11/12/14 title.
