#37Are you kidding me? PG ain't worth Kevin Love. The Cav's better not think about doing that deal. Love is still a walking double double in an offense run by Lebron and Kyrie. He averaged like 20/15 and you think PG is worth him? Hell no.Comment -

#39Nope. Love is a 3rd man or 4th on a SUPER TEAM. Put him on Pacers team and see what happens, it'd be uglyComment -

#41The Lakers have all the leverage in the world over the Pacers now that Paul George has informed them he's opting out after the 2017-18 season. His preferred destination is Los Angeles and with that being made obvious it's really stripped Indiana of their flexibility. They can try to dump George off to a potential contenders as a one-year (or half-season) rental, or try to coerce the Lakers into a decent return, but as of this moment Indiana is in a bad spot for a trade.
Thanks to Los Angeles advantage, it can afford to pick and choose who is available in a trade to the Pacers. According to ESPN's Ramona Shelburne, none of L.A.'s current assets are on the table.
Although George would constitute a significant acquisition for Los Angeles, the rebuilding Lakers do not currently intend to part with any of their young assets in a trade with the Pacers, sources told ESPN's Ramona Shelburne.

#45Wade usually matchuped with George in those games. Wade got the better of George both years. Dominated him for like 40 a couple times. James went against Granger mostly.Cause Sleep is the Cousin of DeathComment -

#47He will play for the Cavs opening night.
No way Indy will keep him around.
Since no one else in the league matters besides 2 teams right now, this will go down.Comment -

#48Why Cleveland? If you're going to trade him somewhere he doesn't want to go then it might as well be Boston -they've got all the picks.
edit: 1 year rental, i see..Comment -

#49Cleveland is the only realistic place he could go this year and decide to stay IMO. He gets dealt anywhere else, he'll go to the Lakers next year.
Don't rule out another team being involved here either.Last edited by thetrinity; 06-19-17, 07:47 AM.Comment -

#50Don't blame George for wanting to leave. Indiana is a shithole and now that Bird has left organization the Pacers are a 3rd world team. Would love to have him on Boston but don't see it happening. If Cavs can somehow swap him for Love, the finals would be competitive.Comment -

#52We got our first true #WojBomb of the summer on Sunday when Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical reported that Paul George informed the Indiana Pacers that he plans to leave as a free agent following the 2017-18 campaign. The report also said that Pacers president Kevin Pritchard has been aggressively seeking a trade partner to take on the All-Star forward sooner rather than later. The Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly interested, but there figures to be no shortage of suitors.
Sean Deveney of Sporting News noted Monday that the Los Angeles Clippers are also expected to pursue George via trade:
“Among them, league sources told Sporting News, are the Clippers, who have three significant free agents — Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and J.J. Redick — and are desperate to add a player who could change their perennial postseason disappointment. The Clippers have expressed interest in George.”
Deveney says that the Pacers are motivated to trade George ahead of Thursday’s draft, and that the Houston Rockets are another potential suitor to watch.

Love was already on a Minnesota team that he led. He comes to the Cav's and is not a focal point of the offense and is still putting up All Star numbers.
Kevin Love19 ppg, 11.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists 0.373 from 3 point shot, 0.45 from 3 post seasonPaul George 5 more minutes per game23.7, 6.6, 3.3 0.393 .429 postseasonJimmy Butler23.9, 6.2, 5.5 0.367
Love is a bad match against GS but he's a beast against everyone else. You don't trade him for a 1 year rental in PG. Jimmy Butler might be one to look at if you can get him long term but you can't get PG without him giving a long term promise which he says he won't do.Comment -

#54Indiana Pacers forward Paul George laid down the gauntlet earlier this offseason, proclaiming he would not be returning to the franchise following the 2017-18 year. That move put the Pacers front office in the spot of attempting to move their All-Star forward, even with teams knowing his heart was set on joining his hometown Los Angeles Lakers when he becomes a free agent next summer.
According to the Indianapolis Star, the team does not feel an obligation to move George prior to the NBA Draft on Thursday night, saying that a deal is not imminent. The team has been in discussion with the Lakers, but have also had talks with the Houston Rockets, Cleveland Cavaliers, Washington Wizards, and Los Angeles Clippers, in an effort to move George and receive something in return rather than letting him walk in free agency.Comment
