There's a difference with capital gains and having $10,000 or more in an exchange, just because you have saved 50,000 in a bit coin exchange you don't have to pay taxes on that and less it was some sort of profit and the exchange sends to government a W-2 or whatever form it's called

then we'd only have to pay taxes on the money made while having our coin on the exchange correct, or loss for that matter as it goes both ways and not the actual volume being moved on the exchange?

No, I have to profit at Fallsview this weekend to invest in Tezos. I'm sure you know this already, but Tezos is uncapped so a quick flip is difficult... you'll probably have to hold it for a couple years or time the market correctly to exit with profit.

Look into EOS also when it gets released... it has a lot of potential. Tezos and EOS will attack Ethereum on both sides so I'm kind of worried as Etherem is my biggest holding right now. Just my 2 cents.

I would personally not touch EOS....year long ICO is absurd. ETH will adapt to scaling before EOS is ever developed....just a pipe dream product at this point (and will be for another year). That said...very interested to see trading on Bitfinex tomorrow for EOS.

Last day of phase one ICO of EOS today...people trading out their ETH to purchase so not surprised by the pull back. 200 million EOS in the first 5 days and then 2 million EOS each day for the next 350 days....so the ETH market is having to deal with 100 days of this hyped EOS ICO in five days and nobody knows how much they are paying for this coin beforehand....crazy.

Then the bitcoin thing going on, some might see ltc as stable litttle bro right now.. idk, eth looks unstable and volatile, also picking up lows today... they might all find some success eventually though.. a lot of speculating right now..

These are dangerous investments but at one time I had 2000 btc with an avg price of $80. Luckily I cant even count high enough to know how much I would of made.
