I traded some bitcoin for bitcoin cash about a month ago thinking that BCH would outperform BTC in the short term...I was wrong and finally jumped ship and cut my losses..ended up pissing away about .4 of a bitcoin trying to get cute. Back to the old fashioned acquire and hold model for me...

more interested in "privacy coins" such as Z-cash, Monero, others....and I'm sure some people actually use these coins to privately send money. But from my perspective as a sports bettor, I'm still waiting to see a site (like bitcoin-only book Nitrogen for example) add the option for other coins as currency options for players to keep their balances in. I'm not talking about depositing in Monero, or etc etc, and converting that into bitcoins or USD, I'm saying leave the currency alone and allow the player to keep the balance in the form of currency they prefer. That would be a nice way to use a privacy coin for online betting.

They have finally made the switch to Segwit, so that's lowering the size of the data of the transaction making it cheaper, plus fees have dropped off dramatically from a couple of months ago.

So are other exchanges going to follow suit and use Segwit, or is it just certain ones? Do you guys thing the fees will finally start to get reasonable with Segwit being the new platform?

Bitfinex is adding SegWit. The major wallets and Bitpay support SegWit. More should follow.

going to be on sale for a while... BTC going to pump for the next month or so back to 17k ish.. then we'll see some of that money trickle into the alt's so yes, its a good buy at .30.. may dip to around .25 or so before shooting back up.

Most coins are open source and you can see it at GitHub. Add a few lines of code and you have yourself a new coin.

im not involved with the coin. just a dumb investor that got in buying at ath and am trapped now. coin has a great community following and just started trading this week with the new coin. i belive the coin should be sitting at around 300 sats but fud from cryptopia has driven it down for now
