Eh, these are Always the worst, because for that much growth obviously a majority of people got in after the start of that growth. So naturally people are going to complain. I was adding more at each milestone so a lot of my late money is down so not super thrilled as with that fast of a jump the possibility of pump and dump of historic proportions still existsComment -

#4592This. And tron was on an incredible run, it's not done. Sun announced today that they're introducing 5 new developers, including from Alibaba and Microsoft. They can be absolutely huge. They're also doing a coin burn this quarter, I just hope it's a ton of coins.Comment -

Every coin is “crashing”
Look at the charts. There was just a 3 day run where everyone made more $ than they can count, all of those are going down while people flip it to btc, and btc is going up. Then when those get down you’ll see btc drop a bit and those go back up. It’s going down faster than the others because it grew more than the others.Comment -

even happy about it, going to ship some btc to binance, wait to see how high that goes, and buy alt after it's as low as it's goingLast edited by reigle9; 01-05-18, 01:06 PM.Comment -

#4606Keep in mind some of us started with very little a month or two ago and have built it up quickly. I was fine stomaching $2k-$5k swings each day when I started with $15k. Now that the swings are $20k-$30k each day it's tough to not panic a little bit. It's all profit on paper but still hard to swallow these crazy price swings.Comment -

#4612It's really hard to trade ripple without being able to short. You get whales that come in and drive the price up or down with 20-30 cent moves in 5 minutes. It's an avalanche. When the sells come in quickly it's easy to see the free fall but without being able to short you can't take advantage of it.Comment -

#4613Blockfolio works very well for me. How is it off? It uses the quoted price at the exchange you select. There's a few coins that aren't listed at the exchange I use but it's close enough. You just have to keep up with your portfolio. If you move BTC to ETH, you have to update your blockfolio. That's standard with any stock tracking app.Comment -

#4614Transaction fees / Confirmation times
Transaction fees / Confirmation times
Can I hear some responses / insight thoughts about Transaction Fees in general?
The purpose of Bitcoin was about a form of currency which could be moved online QUICKLY with LOW FEES per transaction. I'm stating this simplistically of course.
The fees for Bitcoin transactions are so high that you have to be moving a substantial $ amount in each transaction at this point. Last look, around $18 fee. So if you wanna equate that to a 1% fee, you'd need to move $1800. The $ fees has stayed around this $18 for a little while now. So if you were moving $18,000 the fees expressed as a percentage drops....
Confirmation times are still the problem. Transactions don't confirm in minutes like they used to, and god forbid those days where the blockchain is stuck.
Litecoin confirmation times are pretty fast. But the fee is 1% range also. But at least the funds are moved quickly so you get something (fast transaction) for the amount of fees paid.
Could you guys chime in - correct me if I said anything wrong? What are your thoughts about these issues?
We've all been having fun making profits on thin air with all these "penny stock" coins. I know its been said that some of you have the most faith in the particular coins that do the best job to address the Fees/Confirmation times issue.Comment -

#4615I have 120,000+ TRX. Every $0.01 rise was $1,200. It went from 14 cents to 30 cents in a few hours. That was a $19,200 uptick. It's back down to like 16 cents, so that's like a -$17,000 loss of value. That's a $36k swing in a few hours. Now, I'd love to be the guy who sold at 30 cents, then bought back at 16 cents. But, I'm not Nostradamus, nor do I have a time machine. So I don't care about the run up or down, only the destination. If you want to make a quick buck, you can get in and get out in intervals that seem to be predictable. But if you want to create WEALTH, you hold for the long haul and pray that this is the biggest revolution since the internet.Comment -

#4618For those that do a lot of day trading on binance and buy low/sell high.. Are you selling it for btc or eth? And are you just letting it sit in one of those before buying a different altcoin?
Ive currently just held everything so far but when you see these crazy swings. It gets you thinking a bitComment -
