What I would like to see is this:

Take the top 25 linebackers and running backs in the nation in the NCAA and put them into baseball uniforms. These true 'elite athletes' all at 21 and 22 years old. Then stand back and look at that team and decide if there is anything wrong with that picture.

All sports that pay big bucks and full of cheaters. I did it when I played and I wasn't anything special. We ALL did. That didn't stop as people moved up from the bottom.

On to Judge. Beast. Absolute beast. Has made some sick catches in RF as well. Has all of the tools to be a total stud....but until he has done it for a full year, I won't say much more than that. Too many guys start hot and then hit the deck (Puig anyone?).
Not anymore dude I've been thinking about it a lot since I started betting baseball again and watching box scores.

There are teams that get down by 3 runs early and you just know they aren't coming back vs average to below avg pitchers. There are multiple teams with 3 auto outs in their lineups that wasn't going on when Brady Anderson was smashing shots. Some of these lineups are pathetic.

I wish they would bring steroids back to be honest. Baseball was fun.

Baseball purist do not take Yankee hitting seriously.
We never will. Short porches are bullshit
Stanton does this everyday in any park. It's always been a shame how Trout's greatness is ignored. Even when angels were decent. Arod was in Seattle leading off sportscenter everyday. As was Griffey Jr. in his prime. Not sure why Trout never gets credit in a city like LA.

If I was the Yankees I wouldn't let AJ near the home run hitting contest. Players hurt themselves trying to win that crap.

Adam Dunn was a pretty good player. Dunn from 2002 to like 2010 was a monster. Judge could still strike out around 200 times. They both will have good OBP. I think they're comparable players. Judge will cool off at some point

Judge has insane advantage at his home park. His .381 iso points that his power is legit. But his 28.1% strikeout rate, .437 BABIP, and 66% contact rate shows he is more of Adam Dunn/Chris Davis. His average will drop going forward but still will be inflated slightly because of that unreal advantage he has at yankee stadium. If i own him on my fantasy league, I would sell him now for the highest bidder. You can probably get Trout + someone since trout is injured....this trade would be huge in a keeper league.

He's easily the best thing going for baseball nowadays.

It's hard to believe he's the same age as Mike Trout. That tells you how long Trout has been producing.

this kid has the potencial - he is one of the few seriously christian dudes - so bad habits are ruled out and hard work should be consistent. Dude is not getting married for a while and doesnt bang girlfriends in every MLB town - so focused on the game and church is on sundays only.

Judge will be a hall of famer!

Maybe Judge is actually taller than 6'7"" then? I keep hearing he is tallest non-pitcher (or at worst tied).

what i love about aaron judge is he is making 544k this year, while the yanks are paying 33 year old jacoby ellsbury 21 million, and they still have ellsbury for 4 more years after this and he will be in sharp decline, it is nice to see the yankees doing things right again bringing up their own guys and stop over paying for free agents, so many bad signings and not only long contracts old players as well, when yanks get that starting rotation down they are going to be back in the world series soon
