The couple has decided not to remove the graffiti while they pursue legal investigation. According to NBC4, the city has hit them with a fine of $100 (per day) for not removing the offensive term. Stamford Chief of Police Jonathan Fontneau visited the home and said they face arrest as well.

You left out that this couple, a Haitian immigrant and a woman on "disability", have previously been cited and fined for violations such a debris, disrepair, and unstable additions not up to code. She, the woman on disability who owns the house, defiantly refused to pay and owes a ton now in the added fines. So now they also have defiantly refused to clean off or cover up their garage door that has "ni**er written on it. They have been at odds with the city and the neighborhood at every turn crying racism for being cited and fined. But wow, low and behold, it now appears they are now victims of racial hatred in a town that hasn't had any racist incidences in 20-30 years. Maybe forgive the fines and don't foreclose on the house and the obscene word that was mysteriously put there will finally be taken down? Nah, that couldn't be the plan, could it?

Exactly - I heard his security took video's and pictures of the graffiti before writing over it. One of them probably broke the story just to get some press and it went viral. They should have just painted over it and not even report it and move on. Too many people waiting to hate on Lebron even when he's not involved.

The difference was the couple was asked to remove the grafitti after the crime was investigated and wouldnt,bit diffrent then leaving it up as evidence.

Whoever noticed would have taken a picture. Ill go one step further and suggest that whoever painted it took a picture. Ill go an additional step and say I believe there is video of that act being done(assuming that it did actually happen)...the only way it wasn't recorded or noticed by anyone outside the gate, is if the caretaker pulls up right as the perps are leaving and just happens to have a spray paint can and paints over it...without taking a picture...
