He's not very good this year.
His ERA is 5 (4.87) His WH/IP is 1.41 or simply put he allows almost 13 base runner per nine innings, and he's good for a homerun given up per start. Only thing he has going for him is he's still a K artist.
Sal Perez owns JV's ass he's 23 for 52 lifetime, Brandon Moss is .308 vs. JV and has taken him deep twice. So has Hosmer.

It's not a bad bet, it's not a ship it, all in, bet the ranch play, as one can make a case to fade KC, overall it's not a bad play.
