This is the exact reasoning I'm hoping Buster did what he did. Basically telling his team this is personal beef between is Strickland and Harper and not SF and Wash. All these ESPN dopes expressing disappointment in Busters actions, or lack thereof. He did the right thing.

I'm a Harper hater, now having said that.....

1) He did what probably 90 percent of competitors would have done (including me, and I get it, I was a catcher in school) and that was charge the mound, doesn't make it the smart thing to do, but in the heat of the moment you don't ponder the facts of life, you drop the bat, or in the case point the bat and charge.
I can and will give him a pass on charging the mound.

2) Yes media annointed him the next big thing, but a lot of times he handled himself like an immature jerk.
He has maybe 1/10 th the class Mike Trout has.

Now having said that Harper has grown up some, acutally a little more than some, he handled himself very well in the post game presser. Strickland should have let go of the past, and Harper never should have taunted him 3 years ago (Screaming at him "that's two. that's two") but Harper was more of a kid back then.
As a baseball junkie I totally respect what he does on the baseball diamond, next to Trout probably the second best hitter in the game, I played the game I could not hit a ball 450 feet like he can, I respect that and I am in awe, like I mentioned I'm a hater because of the immaturity in the past and the temper.

But I'm a hot head too, so I can relate, and good to see him grow up, I can get behind him a little more.

Agree with this. Most SBR posters are either 9 to 5 work dads guzzling beer at night, or enrolled in some cheap college, or sitting behind a desk all day. The average MLB athlete would kick the snot out of the average SBR poster any day. Easily. And I include myself in that.

I remember eating breakfast at a McDonald's a couple years ago, and Div II college baseball team walked in (I can't remember their name, it was a religious college). They were leaving a game. When they walked in, they looked like a different species compared to all the other men in the restaurant. You don't realize how big these athletes are until they are side by side with the average civilian. And this was a Div II school. The average player was like 6-2, and 210 lbs and no body fat. Now imagine an MLB team. Of course there are exceptions. But even Bartolo Colon would kick the ass of SBR. He is an athlete that is subtle in his abiilty. You don't realize what it takes to pitch in the MLB. All you see is fat guy. WRONG.

my nephew is a 2nd degree black belt and hes ab as athletic as a librarian and would probably lose ina fight to one. no knock on karate or urself homie, karate can be just a form of dance with medals for some. im not implying thats ur case. kung fu experts need to be as strong and athletic to deliver like these guys below

Well in the case of AT&T, the pens are down each foul line, so they're far away from one another and the action on the diamond is much closer.
