    Luis Saez
Seems to be a improving jockey i think, you should have seen his winner on street heat race 3 at belmont today most jockeys would have given up there but not Saez he used his max energy to get the horse home a winner.

improving jockey? he has been a elite jock for the last 4 or 5 years. while he doesn't get the top trainers horses to ride in the major stakes races regularly, he gets his share. just check his win pct. and money earned. 2016 13 million earned. 2015 12 million earned, 2014 9 million earned 2013 12 million earned.

He's a very strong rider. He's best with horses that come off the pace where he can use his strength to push the horse through tight quarters and get the horse to run for him. Not many can do that. Gary Stevens is another that can, like he did yesterday with Ashlylovesugar in the Whitingham.

gary stevens while still capable and is used by top california trainers on a semi-regular basis is older than bartolo colon. very much in the twilight of a great career. not in luis saez's league anymore however.

Agree. With his bad knees and his age it's tough for him to ride full cards. He just sticks to his small circle of trainers and gets to know the horses and doesn't take the chances out there that he use to unless it's for big money. He solely relies on the horse now rather than trying to get it to do what it doesn't want to do. Still, a good rider when the money is on the line.
