#7Hi chico2663, Hitting one of the options in the SBR pro application will give you a message of the exact date of when you can renew your status, that date listed is 1 month prior to your expiration. Based on our system, your pro status expiration will be on July 12, 2017. Let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!Originally posted by chico2663How can I find out when my renewal is up? #12This is not a good way to determine your expiration. Follow Ivy's advice to get an accurate date, go to the Become a Pro page, click any option, and it tells you when you are eligible to renew. For example, here's what my account says: "You are already an SBR Pro. You will be eligible to renew your membership on July 24th, 2017. Your membership expiration is one month after this date."
And as others have said you additionally will receive reminders at 30, 14, 7 day, and 24 hour intervals.
The below method only tells you when you were accepted, which in so far as a renewal does not tell you when your membership would lapse.

#15This is definitely the best/only way to get an accurate renewal date. I was showing basically an estimate which is not as accurate.Originally posted by SBR ForumThis is not a good way to determine your expiration. Question: Is your renewal date the date you renewed the following year? if you renew immediately (30 days in advance), will your renewal date the next year be the day you renew or the original day when your status expires. I.E., if your Pro Status is going to expire Feb 1st but you renew Jan 2nd (30 days early), will your renewal the following year still be Feb 1st or will it now be Jan 2nd (so you lose a month)?? I'm not sure how sophisticated the software is?Comment -

#17Chico, at least you got a reply. This winter I was trying to figure out the same thing. Emailed SBR and never heard a damn thing, I was feeling like Rodney Dangerfield over here. But then I received a notification a month before it was going to expire.Comment -

#18You are not penalized for renewing early. For instance if your original pro date was 2010-11-25, you would expire on 2017-11-26. The renewal time doesn't matter, whether you renewed 30 days out or waited till 24 hours before expiring; your membership expires a full year after the original pro membership your first year. The only time you would reset is if you allowed your membership to lapse.Originally posted by Mac4LyfeThis is definitely the best/only way to get an accurate renewal date. #19I see my "renew pro" button is available now so I assume I'm up for renewal (I know from previous years it's been in this time frame also). But I've gotten no message from SBR about it, and when I click the renewal button it doesn't show when my renewal period is. Could someone at SBR clarify about this?Comment -

Thanks for the reply Genie! Something else I'm generally a tad curious about: it seems you can buy $100 in bitcoin from the store from 2667 points. That being the case, what would be the motivation for renewing with 3000 points rather than donating the $100 and using your points to buy the $100 in bitcoin + have 333 points extra leftover/saved? Seems a bit odd. Not complaining, just curious why anyone would renew using points given that circumstance.Comment -
