It was predetermined a long time ago. NBA got insane ratings with Game 7 falling on a Sunday night last year. They're hoping to replicate that (or do better).

Ridiculous

And way too many 2 full day rest periods.

Crazy.

For instance Game 4 is played on June 9th... but Game 7 is on June 18th. Way too many rest days. Probably gives time for Vegas to give the NBA a call... and let em know which way they want the series to go.

The extra rest is built in assuming these guys play more like 19 or 20 games than 12 or 13 to get to this point. They could have started this Sunday and ended it June 11 very easily.

It favors the nba executives who get filthier off of the increasing bid prices advertisers pay.

The longer layoff time builds up the hype via media outlets which in turn makes the ad space overpriced and desirable, saturating the market with high demand
