Is anyone playing MLB.com's $5.3 million streak contest?

Basically you pick a player (2 max per day) and they must get a hit for the streak to continue. If you pick 2, both players must get hit or the streak ends, if both gets a hit, streak goes to 2. If you run the streak to 57, you win 5.3 million dollars. Whoever goes to 57 wins first. Some dude must hit 51 tonight.....he had zimmerman and harper and it looked like his streak was going to end tonight but harper saved him with a walk off homer in the bottom of the 9th for a hit.

i got up to 15.

I've been playing it for a few years. This is the closest I remember anyone getting to the big $$$. Anything over 20 is very good. You can pick a guy and he might get 4 ABs and walk a couple times - so easy for a streak to end. Props to this guy no matter what happens. 51 is just crazy with all the stuff that can happen during 3-4 at bats!

MLB will more than likely only make pitchers available to narrow down the possibility of paying out. Or maybe an unforseen middle of the night "rule change". 6 hits away, do you take a guranteed million?

There's no guaranteed million. This contest has been going on for 15 years without a winner. I'm sure they are ready to pay out. It's run its course

He could easily have been out the last two nights. But I agree...he's not going to choke. Last year the guy at 49 picked LeMaheiu and he got hurt in his second at bat and left the game without a hit. I don't mind someone winning but I really like playing and dreaming about winning so I don't want it to be over. I can't get past five though. 18 is my highest streak and I was nervous picking. I can't imagine how his guy feels, especially when his guys go hitless the entire game. Two night's ago a 1-2-3 inning would've killed him...his player wouldn't have got one last chance.

I didn't know this contest existed until this year. How come no one talked about it..even this year, no body talked about it.
anyways, the prize is a good sum 5.7 million dollars...i hope there is no catch to it and they pay every penny without any bull crap.

Guy took Pillar and Carrera from the Blue Jays today. Pillar has a hit but Carrera is 0 for 3 with a walk. Might have one more at bat, hell of a run either way. 1st time I believe someone got this close.

Before this guy there were 2 guys at 49. He's the first to get to 50.

Both batters were hot and had high averages. Facing Colon. Just because you haven't heard of Carrera doesn't mean it was a bad pick. And in the last 10 days, Blue Jays were far from the worst hitting team in baseball.
