Jeter just fortunate he was drafted by the Yankees. Would not have been a first ballot HOF if a team like the Astros or Expos had drafted him before them.

He wouldn't be playing for those 2 teams for long. Traded or free agent to a contender.

Or maybe the dynasty of the late 90s isn't one without him.

                          He came to Yankees
They won ring after ring. No Coincidence?

YANKEES all time leader in hits, doubles, stolen bases for career. Most team hits and runs in postseason. 5 rings, 14 time all star. numbers never lie. Immeasurable intangibles. Had Torre not called the shift on Gonzalez, he makes the play to save series against D'backs. Did it all without being a power hitter.

Yanks down 7-0 in the second inning, at home when they retire one of their great's number.

                                That's embarrassing.

Listening to Francesa the fans were having a lovefest with Jeter. One young fan suggested Jeter
was a better ballplayer than Lou Gehrig, it got completely out of hand. To get it straight the top
6 Yankees of all times are in order:
Ruth, Gehrig, DiMaggio, Mantle, Berra & Ford

The 2nd group in no particular order are three:
                                  Mariano, Jeter & Dickey

You can pick amongst a large group to be #10
Munson, Gomez, B. Williams, O'Neill, Ruffing, Muesal

Big John Mize, a Hall of Famer who starred with the Cardinals & Giants finished his
career with the Yanks with his skills diminished & in his 5 years with the Yanks
had won 5 rings. Jeter has 5 rings in 20 years.
