Weed is a mellow drug, makes you lazy and unmotivated.. Not a gateway drug for most.. Wasn't a gateway drug for anyone that I know personally..

I smoked it for years but gave it up now.. No big deal.. Just out grew it... Alcohol more dangerous for sure...

I am not going to say that doesn't happen but weed isn't the issue, it's people doing it who shouldn't be doing it. Just like some people shouldn't drink. If you can't keep yourself off something that is KNOWN to be destructive like, heroin, cocaine, opioid pills then the problem is with you, not weed. a lot of people blame weed or drugs or alcohol for their ills/problems. But that's a false narrative. It's just deflecting the blame. There are many people who want to demonize weed so that it can be blamed as the gateway drug. So kids do it and think, "if this is as bad as heroin, then hell yeah, I'll try it." But l'll be the example, I smoked pot for several decades (not daily and certainly not wake and bake) several times a week on average. I never got consumed by it and I never jumped to anything else, even though it was offered. It's called "being in control." You guys should try it. It is also why my worst year in over a decade of sportsgambling was only negative $500. Self control. No chasing losses and no chasing action.

It can be the killer of all motivation which is bad I agree!!!! I'd say that's the biggest problem with smoking weed.. You may not live up to your full potential in life if you are a daily baker..

On the plus side - It can help you to get creative, give you patience to take on projects that you normally would never do...Like for example - help you to learn a musical instrument, paint, draw, work on electronics repair cars or homes, play video games for hours and hours, can help you to relax and enjoy movies more, food tastes better on weed also, can help you sleep, etc....

Weed doesn't make everyone lazy but it does for most.. Being a gateway drug I'm not fully convinced on that...
