By "great get", you were talking about Lynch robbing the Raiders and getting a contract based on reputation, right?Comment -

They aren't shotgun/pistol only. It was out of necessity after the injury.Comment -

Also, I agree that he will be beasting again. The Raiders have two young backs that are the future. Lynch is just the short yard, and goal line back mainly. We have Richard, and Washington as the speedsters. Trio of doom for the NFL.Comment -

#16Wrong.. Whole career at Fresno State.. In order screen, 9, slant all out of gun... While yes after the injury it went all shottie the Raiders have adopted it.. Carr more comfy in the gun..Originally posted by Cuse0323I assume you only watched after Carr dislocated his pinky.

#17I'm confused. Is he still at Fresno State? Before the injury, he was under center. Jack Del Rio is the coach, and all. The Raiders didn't adopt it.Originally posted by bballs84Wrong.. He will be back right under center with that great OLine next year. They didn't even use the gun anyway after the injury really. Mostly the pistol, so they could still run the ball. The pinky was the beginning of the end, but what do I know. Just watched every game they played.Comment -

#18They are definitely not willing too give much in this situation. Maybe a 7th rounder. And that is under condition that Lynch restructures his contract before the trade.Originally posted by bballs84A Raider.. Interested to see what they are giving up.. Great Get.. AFC should be fun
He's not. First of all, Reggie McKenzie is in love with his draft picks. There is maybe handful of guys in the league for which he would consider giving up first rounder (or even second or third). Richard Sherman is not one of them.Originally posted by DiggityDaggityDoWill Sherman follow him?
Also, it doesn't make much sense financialy. Raiders have to pay Carr and Mack soon and they are not in position to give big money to another corner, considering Sean Smith and David Amerson are not exactly cheap.
As Cuse0323 already wrote, Raiders are not a shotgun team. They are running a lot of stuff under center, especially when running the ball. With Carr's finger injury they were forced to abondon it in the second half of the season.Originally posted by bballs84Interesting for scheming.. Raiders strictly Shotgun team.. And yes, he's going to dominate. Behind that O-line... Hungry, motivated and in a role where he won't be asked to do all by himself.Comment -

#26Oakland Raiders second-year running back Jalen Richard says he is learning a lot from veteran back Marshawn Lynch, according to Eddie Paskal of the Raiders’ official team website.
Richard says that Lynch has helped him trust himself more.
“I’ve learned to trust my gut more, as far as runs,” said Richard. “Sometimes I question myself coming back after a play a lot, because I like to be perfect. I’m very high on being perfect, and making sure that if it was a three-yard run, I have to get that three, but then maybe get extra. Sometimes it doesn’t always go that way, so I’ve been able to, with him, trust my gut more, and just let go, not even worry about that.”
Additionally, Lynch has taught Richard some of the tricks of the trade that come with being an NFL running back and how to react to certain situations on the field, such as what to do when he gets hit.
“He’s taught me how to be patient,” he said. “He’s taught me some other tricks that I haven’t been able to use yet because we haven’t been that live, but different things that I’ll do when I feel contact, and those things, so I look forward to putting those to the test.”
The 23-year-old Richard, who played his college football at the University of Southern Mississippi, rushed for 491 yards and a touchdown off of 83 carries last season. Additionally, he caught 29 passes for 194 yards and two scores.
The Raiders will play their first preseason game next Sunday when they head on the road to take on the Arizona Cardinals.Comment -
