Dont like that at all. All Id replace is the home plate umpire, use a machine to judge balls and strikes and also for it to call safe or out at home, no need for an umpire anymore.

Obviously. Football isn't really some high speed game. You don't get a first down then you punt, or FG. Commercial.

Also, receivers run 50 yards, and have to come back to the line. It takes a little while. Football is full of 300 pound dudes. It's not a fast game in terms of minutes played on the field.

Baseball is slow as hell, but it is what it is. I have no attention span so I don't watch, but I don't want it to speed up. Everyone is always looking for some shit to change. Only thing is pitchers that go faster make the game easier to watch, and seemingly do well with a better rhythm. But, I can wait the extra 10 seconds per pitch to watch the boring ass game.

Anyone going to baseball games in the fifties before the proliferation of TV would know a different game. In those days in between innings they would quickly get off and on the field. The pitcher would throw about 7 warm ups and they would start. Now you have 3 or 4 minutes of commercials.

You can put the major blame on TV commercials. Also in the old days play was quick. No meetings on the mounds every inning or so. Starting pitchers pitched until they got hit. No pitch counts.
